Have you been kicking around the idea of hiring a personal trainer, but not sure if it’s the right move for where you’re currently at?. A common myth that many people believe is that they need to come to us already knowing how to exercise and be under a certain percent body fat. Not to state the obvious, but that’s what our coaches are here for. We help people fast track their health and fitness goals. In some cases it requires us communicating with our Doctor of Physical Therapy, Claire Kopko or having a conversation with a client’s Doctor, Chiropractor, Massage Therapist etc. This helps to create a comfortable training experience for the client and also uses a holistic approach to make sure all practitioners are working together instead of against each other. All of that to say, you don’t have to navigate the muddy waters alone. Let’s look at some signs that you’re ready to work with a coach.

Motivation

Sometimes people fall into a motivation trap. They’ve tried different exercise routines and diet plans and none of them stuck. Each time something fails, the motivation to try again becomes more difficult. Motivation won’t push you across the finish line, but it will allow you to start the race. When people struggle to stay motivated, it can be that they haven’t tied a WHY to their goals. We get it, lifting weights isn’t the most fun thing. Being sore, sweating, and making time in busy schedules can be difficult. Professional coaches can help you find the deeper meaning of what your health and fitness goals really mean to you. It could be enjoying more activities with your kids or grand kids, being able to take a trip you’ve been putting off or simply wanting to live more quality years. A professional coach helps turn motivation into a plan.

Wanting Guidance on Safe and Effective Exercise

The only thing worse than not exercising is exercising incorrectly. Improper movement and loading patterns can have serious negative effects on people. A great example is how exercises like the squat can be seen as dangerous to some and life saving to others. A coach has the eyes and skill set to adjust the exercise to work for you based on mobility and flexibility issues to ensure you’re still working the targets muscle groups and not compounding existing issues. I’ve talked with hundreds of people over the years who went from no activity to doing Insanity workouts daily and they ended up with an injury simply because the loading or repetitions had exceeded their current capacity. Teaching people how to safely exercise is one my personal favorites as a coach because it’s a life long skill for people.

Accountability and Support

This is an area where programs that people buy online fall way short. How do you adjust your training when something is feeling off? Or when you’re traveling or sick and the list goes on. How do you get back on track when you’ve maybe fallen off for a week or two. Does anybody know or care if I even get my workout in? We make adjustments for clients every single week based on their real life. This helps clients feel like they’re staying on track to meet their goals and  knowing that they’ll have a coach to check in with serves as a reminder when their friends want to go out for thirsty Thursday. If you’re ready to have someone to be accountable to, this a sign you’re ready for coaching.

Simplify

Are you ready to simplify your training? Not meaning boring and mundane. People are busy, really busy. A coach helps give you one less thing to think about or worry about. By hiring a coach to help with your health and fitness, you’re buying back time to add quality to your life. We have clients who use as a resource to learn from and others that simply want to show up, do their work and never know the Xs and Os of their program. We’re fine with both because both groups of people are getting results delivered how they prefer them. If you’re ready to simplify your health and nutrition then a professional coach is your next step.

A Real Routine for Your Life

Arnold used to preach about doing two workouts a day each for 2-3 hours. That’s fine and makes for a great story, but people now want a plan that can work in their real life. Our coaches help create a real life plan that works for you and the people in your life. We don’t want you to be at the gym every day, but we want the gym to make all your experiences outside the gym better. If you’re tired of reading the extremes online and want real applicable plans to help you reach your goals then you’re ready for coaching.

Coaching can be a fast track to get your results safer and with less headaches along the way. As years go on, you’ll hear people say the same things about how they need to lose 10lbs but they continue the same habits and maybe gain a few more pounds next year. We’re in an information overload era and people don’t need more information, but they can use a coach to decipher the information for them. If you’re ready for coaching, book a No Sweat Intro with us to get your journey started.
